Kaharau have always had an AI and donor ET programme over the years and in 2015 Penny and Prince selected a fresh team of donor cows. These cows were specifically selected for breeding, calving history, phenotype, structural soundness, performance of their progeny and their EBVs. They are all beautiful girls; strong, deep, smooth and boxy with good udders.
Since then, the cows have been at Kiwi Stud Services in Hawke’s Bay on and off, undergoing programming and flushing, achieving great results for export and for our own use. A great selection of ET calves are in the 2018 bull sale team.
International demand for Kaharau genetics has seen great interest in their embryos. One leading Australian breeder purchased 64 Kaharau embryos in the spring of 2016.
